Pet Schedule - Privacy Policy

Information We Collect

Pet Schedule collects the following information to provide its core functionality:

• Pet information — names, breeds, ages, and profile photos you enter
• Health data — vet records, weight logs, vaccination history, medical notes, and health records you create for your pets
• Activity & fitness data — step counts, walk distance, walk duration, and GPS route coordinates recorded during walk tracking sessions
• Location data — GPS coordinates collected during active walk tracking sessions only
• Schedule data — feeding times, medication reminders, and other tasks you create
• Journal entries and photos — text entries and images you add to the pet journal or document vault
• Recipe and expense data — pet food recipes and cost information you enter

How We Use Your Data

All data you enter is used solely to provide the app's features:

• Health records and vet data are displayed within the app to help you track your pet's health history
• Location and step data are used to display walk routes on the map, calculate distance, and track activity statistics
• Schedule data is used to generate reminders and notifications
• Photos and documents are displayed within the app's journal and document vault features

We do not use your data for advertising profiling, analytics, or any purpose beyond providing the app's features.

Location Data

Pet Schedule accesses your device's GPS location only when you actively start a walk tracking session. Location tracking stops immediately when you end the walk. Location data is stored locally on your device as part of your walk history. Location data is never transmitted to our servers. If you use cloud backup, walk route coordinates are included in the backup stored in your private Firebase account.

Health Data

Health records (vet visits, vaccinations, weight, medications, and other health notes) are entered by you and stored locally on your device. This data is never shared with third parties. If you enable cloud backup, health records are included in the encrypted backup in your private Firebase account, accessible only to you.

Camera & Photos

The app accesses your camera and photo library only when you choose to add photos to your pet journal or document vault. Photos are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to any server unless you have enabled cloud backup.

How We Store Your Data

Your data is stored in two ways depending on your choices:

• Local storage — All data is stored on your device using Android's SharedPreferences and local file storage. This data remains on your device and is not accessible to us.
• Cloud backup (optional) — If you enable the cloud backup feature, your data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore under an anonymous account linked to your device. This backup is private and accessible only to you.

Data Retention

Local data is retained on your device for as long as the app is installed. It is automatically deleted if you uninstall the app or clear the app's data via your device settings.

Cloud backup data is retained in Firebase for as long as you maintain your cloud backup. You can delete your cloud backup at any time from within the app (Settings > Cloud Backup > Delete Backup). Deleted cloud data is permanently removed and cannot be recovered.

How to Delete Your Data

You can delete your data in the following ways:

• Delete specific records — Individual pet records, health entries, walk histories, and journal entries can be deleted from within the app at any time.
• Delete cloud backup — Go to Settings > Cloud Backup > Delete Backup to permanently delete all cloud-stored data.
• Delete all local data — Go to your device's Settings > Apps > Pet Schedule > Storage > Clear Data to erase all locally stored app data.
• Uninstall the app — Uninstalling the app removes all local data. Cloud backup data must be deleted separately before uninstalling.

Advertising

Pet Schedule uses Google AdMob to display banner advertisements. AdMob may collect device information and advertising identifiers to serve relevant ads. You can remove all ads permanently by purchasing the "Remove Ads" option in Settings. For more information about how Google uses data, visit: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Third-Party Services

Pet Schedule uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policy:

• Google Firebase — cloud backup and anonymous authentication (Firebase Privacy)
• Google Maps — walk route display (Google Privacy Policy)
• Google AdMob — advertising (Google Privacy Policy)

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties. Your pet and health data remains on your device or in your private Firebase backup. The only data that leaves your device is what you explicitly choose to back up to Firebase, and what AdMob collects for advertising purposes (device identifiers only — not your pet data).

Children's Privacy

Pet Schedule is a general audience app suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us at petscheduleapp@gmail.com and we will take steps to delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
